Information we use
We store the account information you provide, including your username and email address; an encrypted password hash; session and invite records; auction and snipe settings; service events; and support communications. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Bye Now.
eBay information
When you connect eBay, we receive and encrypt OAuth access and refresh tokens and store your immutable eBay user identifier. We also store auction listings, bid schedules, bid attempts, and outcomes needed to provide the service. We use this data only to connect your account, show and schedule auctions, place the real bids you request, determine outcomes, and comply with eBay account-deletion notices.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes top-ups and provides customer, Checkout, charge, refund, and dispute records. We do not receive your full card number. We share information with Stripe, eBay, and service providers only as needed to deliver, secure, monitor, and back up the service or comply with law. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Account information is kept while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal obligations. Security and application logs are normally retained for no more than 90 days.
When eBay sends a verified account-deletion notice, we remove the matching eBay connection, OAuth tokens, immutable eBay identifier, auctions, bid schedules, attempts, outcomes, and other eBay-derived data. The deletion audit records the result without retaining the deleted eBay identifier. We retain non-eBay account and billing records—including Stripe references, top-ups, refunds, disputes, and the credit ledger—for up to seven years where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations.
Your choices
You can disconnect eBay and can request access, correction, or deletion of your Bye Now account information. Some billing records may remain for the retention period above. Browser cookies maintain your session; disabling them prevents sign-in. Contact the service operator through the support channel shown in the application to make a privacy request.
